it was hot, hot, and did i mention hot?
although it was frustrating at times, it was also really funny(:
well let me show you why.
emily, crys, ruth and i were sitting at the steps, resting.
so i randomly asked: coach, how tall is your wife?

met kelly (again) today.
it was funny, like always.
we realized we have different preferences of what size of guys we like.
she prefers guys who are bigger than R, and i think people of Y size are just nice.

anyyyway, we ate and talked and then we went to restring our rackets.
she left to buy her friend's cake after and i stayed to do work.

Top 5 things that irk me A LOT.
5) when people judge what i make by the ingredients i put into it.
4) when people go around spreading rumours that aren't true
3) people going around insulting my friends
2) when people ask me whether i have a sister in cedar who's 2 years my junior
AND THE NO 1 THING THAT REALLY IRRITATES ME THE MOST
1) when people dont reply me for no apparent reason.

anyway, dinner was irritating. it encompassed no5 of my list.
mum was cooking chicken soup for dinner,
and i suggested frying the vegetables before adding them in,
making the soup more tasteful.
and she gave me the "okayyyy" look.
i just ignored it and fried the vegetables.
and then she said: " i want this soup to be thick-ish"
so i was like, okay, lets add a roux to the soup.
(im not sure whether thats the right way to say it)
roux is basically butter and flour added to thicken the soup.
and she was like, uhhhhhh.
and i kinda not listened to her again and prepared the roux.
i added it to the soup,
tasted it.
and it was cool.
like you could taste the difference(:
and i was happy.
then during dinner, she was like: i dont like the soup.
and she told my brother that i added butter to the soup.
and he was like EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, I DONT WANT!
so i asked him to try, and he was like, YUCKKKKKKKKK!

i still thought it was okay.
then dad came back, and i purposely didnt tell him about the "special" touch to the soup.

yesterday wasnt what i expected.
i thought it would have been more fun.

today was weird.
it was olev results day.
everyone was high and all at first.
i was kinda emotionlessly stoned, cause it meant i was getting back my results.
and that was kinda, umm, weird. cause i knew i wasnt really gonna do well,
and would probably get b3/b4
and so i was like, doing maths while everyone was celebrating cedar's superb 9.0 msg.
so yeahh.. and i was trying to tune ange out casue she was highing,
and i was kinda irritated (not at her) cause i was feeling, weird.
so yepp. then after we went to see sec 4s receive olev results, everyone kinda rushed to their classes,
and i kinda just zombied along, reading some jc admission book.
and embarrassingly, i was the last to enter the class, and everyone kinda stared at me like i was mad.
yeah, and teacher was kinda saying how so many people didnt do well,
and its cause they didnt put in effort anyway.
and in my head i kept going: well, SOME people put in effort, and they're rewarded with E8s...
so i kinda half listened and half read my phamflet cause what she said didnt apply to me
(i dropped after being so severely discouraged by mdm goh)
she mentioned that one pupil in our class got b4,
and we have like half of the total students who didnt get A1/2
and she ended her lecture and sat down.
and she was like: di yi ge xue shen lai nai ni de chen ji che. jia hui!

and i was like OH SHIT, WHY did i have to suffer first?
and i went up, and she said in a super emotionless voice + face

and i didnt really believe i got a1.
i mean what's the odds of that?!
so i sat down, with my head spinning, and tried to interpret my result slip.
i failed at that.
so i asked my partner, what did i get?
and she glanced at my slip and went: i dont know.
so i turned to audrey and azel and asked.
and they were like : OH MY GOD YOU GOT A1!
and then it hit me.
I GOT A FREAKING A1.
and yes, i started pathetically crying.

and i had to wait for everyone to get their results before i could go trick my mum into believing i got b4.
so yeah,
wait, sob, wait, pathetically sob... waitt....
and at the end, lao shi was like:

anyway, i woke up at 7 today to go to the market with mum.
i slept at 1.30 the previous night, so waking up was super sacrificing.
hahah. yeah, then went to get the food.
the shopkeepers always go: whoa, you're like the only youth here (in teochew/mandrin whatever.)
ahaha, its weird, cause you see the whole market crowded with middle aged to grandmamas and you see me.
hahah, yepp.
then i went to the veg stall, and i was kinda curious what the diff kinds of vegs are.
so i always ask the uncle, and he tells me in chinese. and im like, soooooo, whats that in english again?
and this auntie must have thought i was damn cute/weird. cause she kept smiling at me.
and then i went for breakfast at the foodcourt.
and i walked past this vegetarian stall and saw some orange things that i assumed were pumpkins.
and i asked the lady, and she was like, yes.
and i kinda asked her how to prepare pumpkins, and she gave me THE LOOK and answered:

yeah, and i felt like eating prata, so i ordered one.
and i went back to try the pumpkins.
AND OH MY LALA!
the pumpkins were surprisingly soft and really creamy.
you cant even taste the fiber-y parts.
and it was SOOOOOO good.
it was really unlike the ones i tried roasting: hard, and tasteless.
it makes me think why im not a vegetarian.
and oh,
the prata was really really good too.
it was soft and fluffy,
unlike those tough chewy ones that cause your metal cutlery to bend.
the curry made it all even better.
the best part: $0.70 for one.
mmmmh.
im soooo gonna go back and eat my pumpkins and prata.

anyway, i've decided on the mains benefits of being fit:
1) you're able to run and catch the bus.
2) you're not sweating bomb and ruining your outfit&hair by the time you get the bus
3) you can stand up in less than a second, compared to pushing and huffing yourself up (major unglamness)
4) 2.4 doesnt make you feel depressed every year.

and the two MAIN reasons that i LOVE tennis physical:
1) you can whip up a meringue BY HAND and not feel that your muscles are dead.
2) you can carry many bags of flour at a time so mum doesnt say you can only buy 1kg of flour cause you cant carry it! :D
SEE, i love being a tennis player cum baker.
