surprisingly, i won 6-3 6-1

umm, slacked around pretty much the whole day.
i caught the macaroon bug again, so i decided to bake a batch.
yeeeeeeeah,
well, umm
hahaha, finally got to use my candy thermometer(:
kinda dumb luh.
i needed 150g of almost meal.
and like, i could only find 100 grams packs.
which were already like $4 plus dollars.
so after walking arounf cold storage a few times
(and secretly cussing A LOT in my head)
i finally decided to 2/3 all the other ingredients
which kinda sucks, cause i'd already added the water and sugar together,
and like,you cant 2/3 like, egg whites man.
so i kinda like, whateverrred and chucked it all in.
hahaha.
okay, such sloppy behavior cannot be condoned,
i know.
and after that, things just got WORSE.
okay, imagine this. you've got to heat a sticky sloppy mess to 110deg,
and keep it there.
on the other hand, you've got to use a hand mixer and beat egg whites, without stopping.
AND you've also got to sieve clumpy ground almond+icing sugar,
which just stubbornly just doesnt wanna go through the holes.
so yeah, you get the big picture.
so after fumbling much, i just whatevered,
cussed A LOT in my head,
and piped ugly circles.
left it in the oven and make lunch.
lunch was weird, cause i didnt know it was minced PORK.
so i cooked, and my maid was like, uhhh?
hahahah.
WHOOPS,
so heated up sardines for her:D.
yeahhhh,
the minced-pork-with-potatoes-that-got-kinda-mashed-with-teriyaki-watery-sauce
was,
well.
okay lah.
it was nicely edible, but i HATE pork.
cause it has lumpy fatty like things in it.
okay, skip to open oven moment...
well, they HAD TEEEEEEENY feet.
(feet: the frilly things at the bottom of macaroons that are like, the SUPA important features)
and,
they were easily removeable.
so KINDA A LITTLE successful.
yeeeah,
so im just gonna stick to using the italian way, although i feel the meringue-stage wasnt really pretty.
so yeeeeah,
shall try again when i learn how to fold.
